Updated: 5 days ago

The Paradise Tool Lending Library is inching closer to launch, with plans to open later this year. What's the next step? Beautify the Library's storage container with a mural! We're looking for a local artist or art group to take the lead.

What is the PTLL?

By providing free or low-cost access to expensive, rarely used tools, and the know-how to use them, the PTLL helps neighbors on the Ridge maintain fire-safe properties, learn new skills, and work side-by-side to cultivate community and connection.

Proposal Details

Regenerating Paradise requests proposals for the creation of a mural to beautify the exterior of the Paradise Tool Lending Library. The mural will be painted on one side of a 40’ x 9’6” shipping container. This opportunity is open to all artists and art groups who demonstrate a strong connection to the Ridge community.

Deadline: 5 pm, Monday, June 15, 2026

Compensation: $500 stipend, plus the cost of supplies and materials

Mural Dimensions: 40’ x 9’6”

Guidelines

  • Original artwork only; no copyrighted work or AI-generated images will be considered.

  • Imagery should reflect themes relevant to the PTLL, such as community resilience, cooperation, and abundance. Nature and garden imagery encouraged.

  • Applicant must demonstrate a strong connection to the Ridge community.
